Report of William Mayo Drew, Jr. Date 8/8/63

p2

On July 18, 1963, MM T-1, a Miami businessman with numerous contacts among the Cuban population of South Florida, advised that he had received information from a Cuban exile named ACELO PEDROSO AMORES regarding a possible attempt to bomb Cuba.

Since this copy of the report didn't include the admin page(s), I can't identify MM T-1 further.

Note: The "cover sheet" mentioned in the RIF is actually the first page of a draft HSCA staff report on the Pontchartrain incident with a focus on the allegations that David Ferrie was involved in training Cubans. This is why Ferrie is mentioned in the subjects section; he's NOT mentioned in the FBI report. The draft page mentions HSCA interviews and depositions with some of the participants.

       Here's a bit more.

p4 (from the above mentioned document).

It is noted that MM T-1, previously mentioned, stated he believed one of the pilots to be used in flying this mission was ANTONIO SOTO VAZQUEZ, a Cuban exile and former Cuban Air Force Pilot who participated in the invasion at the Bay of Pigs, and who is a good friend of PEDROSA.

This is a report from the N.O. FBI office summarizing it's records on the 7/31/63 dynamite seizure.

p3

RAMON GUTIERREZ, 25 Southwest River Drive, Fla., whose idenitity should be protected, confidentially advised the Miami Division that he believed one of the pilots on this mission to be ANTONIO SOTO VAZQUEZ, a Cuban exile and former Cuban Air Force pilot who had participated in the Bay of Pigs invasion and who is a good friend of PEDROSO.
